Position Overview

Project Manager - Regulatory Analysis

The Position:

Censeo is seeking a project manager to support regulatory analysis and operations improvement for our RegTech client initiatives. This role will focus on support for its Technology and Innovation Office (T&I) for continued development of the Bureau's Regulatory Technology (RegTech) platforms and will include software architecture support, development, network engineering services, data analysis, business analysis, user research, and product design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client and key stakeholders.
  • Lead project planning, execution, and delivery across all workstreams.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Oversee project financials, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure quality, timeliness, and compliance of all deliverables.
  • Facilitate governance meetings, status reviews, and executive briefings.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, and performance dashboards.
  • Monitor contract performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to client leadership.

Required Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in Data Science, Finance, Engineering or a similar analytic field with strong academic background
  • 8+ years of experience in regulatory analysis
  • Experience providing project management support to a software platform development program.
  • Experience with GitHub-style software development, such as issues and project boards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Customer service mindset with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies
Additional Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the CFPB regulatory process and experience working with software developers, managers, regulatory attorneys, and stakeholders (strongly preferred).
  • Industry-standard project management certification(s).
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment, such as for a government agency or regulator, industry oversight body, regulated entity, or vendor that supports regulated entities.

Censeo Consulting Group is based in Washington D.C., a fantastic city for working professionals. We work in a hybrid setting with flexibility to work from home and work in our office conveniently located in the heart of downtown, just a few blocks away from the White House. And with many of our clients also based in D.C., we have the luxury of leaving for a meeting and being back in the office in time for post-work happy hours, team dinners, and game nights.

The Fine Print:
  • The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $140,000 depending on experience
  • Expected travel 0-10%; may increase based on business needs 
  • This is an exempt, full-time position
  • This role is subject to a hybrid or remote work schedule
  • Essential Physical Functions
    • Sitting: Particularly for sustained periods of time
    • Light Carrying: Physically transporting items weighing less than 15 pounds from one location to another
